Rasterize PDF

It draws each page as a picture and puts the pictures into a new PDF at the same page sizes. Text, form fields, links and bookmarks are gone, so nobody can copy or search the text, and what you see is what prints. If the original had an owner password but no open password, the copy comes out without those restrictions.

Pictures of pages take more room than text. 72 DPI is the smallest and fine for screens, 150 DPI is a good balance, and 300 DPI is sharp for printing but much larger. A page that cannot be drawn stops the run, so you never get a file with a page missing. A damaged compressed page can occasionally come out partly blank without a warning, so look through the result.

Files are processed to produce your result and removed shortly after — see our Privacy Policy for the current retention times.
