Flatten PDF

It draws typed values, ticks, highlights and notes into the page itself, so they look the same in every reader and cannot be edited as fields. The copy looks like the printed form. Ordinary text stays selectable and links stay clickable.

A digitally signed PDF is flattened with a warning: the picture of the signature stays on the page, but the signature itself is removed, so the copy looks signed but is not. Use your original when a valid signature matters. Some forms are refused: fields with no saved appearance, or forms that need a program to be drawn (XFA). Flattening those could lose what was typed or show an old value. Open the form in a PDF viewer, print it to PDF, then try again. Flattening is not redaction: it does not remove information already in the file.
